Paleo Meatloaf – My Favorite Recipe!
Meatloaf is by far one of my favorite meals, every bite takes me back to simpler times in my life when I was a boy and on cold sunday nights I would be in the kitchen and my mom would be cooking up a meatloaf to die for and until this day I just cant seem to make mines as good as hers..But these days on those cold chilly nights when I get those cravings for my mom’s hearty meatloaf I have to keep in mind that bread crumbs and flour are not good companions when it comes to living the paleo lifestyle. So to replace those bonding ingredients I didn’t have to think hard because the new Paleo Recipe Book seems to have a solution for everything and there is so many different kinds of paleo meatloaf recipes inside but in my opinion nothing beats the good old classic taste of a simple paleo meatloaf so here it is for you guys to enjoy!
What You Need:
• 1 onion, diced
• 2 lbs ground beef
• 1 cup almond meal
• 2 eggs
• 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
• 1 tbsp garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp dried basil
• 1 tsp marjoram
• Cooking fat
• Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
to taste
1: Preheat your oven to 350 F.
2: In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together except the cooking fat.
3: Grease a loaf sized glass baking dish and press the meat mixture in it to form a loaf.
4: Cover the top of the loaf with melted cooking fat.
5: Bake in the oven for about 1 hour, until cooked through and the meat is no longer pink in the middle.
6: Puree in a blender or food processor, making sure not to burn yourself with the hot soup.
7: Serve in bowls with a wedge of lemon on the side and some extra grated ginger as a garnish if desired.
I really hope you guys enjoyed this simple paleo meatloaf recipe I still think its the perfect dish to make in this time of year in these cold chilly nights it really warms the soul.
